Just completed (2014)!

  • Building construction, which includes the completion of the walls of the second floor, the construction of the third floor (almost complete with a volunteer room, a big room for welcoming orphaned children, a bathroom, and a big terrace), concrete roofs, and a roof terrace.
  •  Installation of windows and doors on the second floor and in the volunteer room.
    Source of financing: We received generous donations from the Australian support committee and from friends in the Netherlands and France. There were also loans to friends in India. Amount: 350 000 rupees.

The story of Sudhir Radha Family

Sudhir Radha Family

Sudhir was born thirty years ago in a rural village of Bihar state, around thirty kilometers from Bodhgaya. Eldest son of a farmer ' family, in a region with a very high rate of illiteracy (66% in the rural areas), his chances for many studies were not very great. At that time, there was no school in his village. So at the age of seven, Sudhir moved to his grandparents’ home in Bodhgaya. It is them who finance his first years of school. All of them lived in a single, sparsely-furnished room.
